Options for moving violation tickets (without a CDL) are

Driver’s safety course ($144.00 in court costs)

Deferral: A 90 day probationary period. You cannot receive a ticket within the 90 days. (+$75.00 to cost of ticket)

Pay for ticket outright

Schedule a court date to talk to the prosecutor and contest the ticket.

A fix it ticket is a non moving violation like an expired registration, expired driver’s license, or defective light.

If the issue is fixed and then proof is brought to the court the ticket amount can be reduced.

Because of the higher expectation of CDL drivers they are not eligible for Driver’s Safety Courses or Deferral.

A court date can be scheduled to talk to the prosecutor.

Because the Off Truck Route ticket is a City Ordinance and not a state rules of the road violation is does not effect a CDL the way a speeding ticket would.

A ticket that has gone into collections needs to be paid in full to be dismissed.

A payment plan can be set up by calling the court.

The lowest payment per month accepted by the court is $50 per month.

Paperwork will need to be signed and returned to the court.

All payments can be made online through govrec.com.

Payments are not automatic.

If a ticket is received for going over 25mph the only option is to pay for the ticket in full. State statute does not allow for a deferral or driver’s safety course for excessive speeding tickets.
